I noticed someone “vaping” inside the Vanier library today. This isn’t allowed according to the Concordia’s recently updated “Smoke-free environment policy”. I think maybe the libraries should be a bit more pro-active in informing people about this, since it is a recent update to the policy.
Thank you for your message. As you mention, as per Concordia University’s SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT POLICY, the use of any kind of cigarette, electronic, vapour or otherwise, is not permitted anywhere in the University, including the Libraries. If you notice anyone using cigarettes in the Libraries, please report it immediately to library staff or to a security agent.
